I have family in asia who were affected by dengue fever, which can be lethal disease and so i was inspired to create this piece. please help spread the awareness of dengue fever not only in asia but in other countries as well.

I actually had dengue fever just last year, thanks to that year’s epidemic in the Philippines. I didn’t get any of the more deadly versions, but it still really, totally sucked. I’m going back to the Philippines this year - I can’t just stop going, I have family who lives there and have gone there nearly every year of my life – but I am worried; Dengue can be worse the second time, even lethal.
I’m not sure there’s much people can do about the disease itself - I think a vaccine is still in the works - but one thing we can do is promote public health and sanitation, something even more lacking many of the countries where one finds this disease.
